Driver Arrested for serveral Charges after vehicle pursut

Cass County Sheriff Wm. C. Brueggemann advised on Friday September 25th 2020 at 1:55 a.m., Cass County Sheriff Office Deputies were attempting to stop a vehicle for traffic violations Highway 43 and Highway 34 (O Street), in Eagle, Ne on a Silver BMW.

The vehicle driver refused to stop for the deputy and a pursuit was initiated traveling westbound on highway 34, northbound onto 190th Street, westbound on Holdredge Street to the village of Prairie Home, Ne located at North 148th St. and Thayer Avenue. With the assistance of Lancaster Sheriff Office and Nebraska State Patrol the vehicle driver was taken into custody and identified as a Danny M. Hier, age 51 of Lincoln, Ne.   Hier is charged with speeding, Driving While Under the Influence of alcohol, 2nd +.15, Willful Reckless Driving, Open Container, No Valid Registration, Violate Stop Sign, Driving Under Suspension 15 year revocation.    During the arrest, Hier was resisting.
