Corrections

The Cass County Jail has 30 staff members that all contribute to the success of its operation. The Corrections Services Lieutenant is responsible for the overall operations of the 110 bed facility. The daily activity for the jail is supervised by a Sergeant who has 4 shift Corporals answering to her. The staff members include both Deputies and Corrections Officers, 2 Nurses, 1 Doctor, a Booking Officer and an Administrative Assistant.

Services provided and/or offered to the inmates at the jail include Domestic Violence classes, GED Classes, AA group meetings and Church Services. The food services are contracted with an outside company, who prepares the meals inside the jail.  Inmate trustees help prepare the meals, clean the cells and take care of the laundry.
