About the Sheriff

 

About the Law Enforcement Center
The law enforcement operations of the Cass County Sheriff's Office and the Plattsmouth Police Department are located at 336 Main Street in Plattsmouth, and the entrance is at the southwest side of the building in the area between the Courthouse and Law Enforcement Center. The Jail entrance is at 303 Avenue A at the Northeast corner of the Law Enforcement Center.
Built in 2002, the City County Law Enforcement Center continues to be a state-of-the-art Law Enforcement and Detention facility that houses the offices of the Cass County Sheriff, the Plattsmouth Police Department, and a jail facility that has a 110 bed capacity.

About Our County
Cass County is located on the eastern edge of Nebraska, with the Missouri River on its eastern boundary and the Platte River on its Northern border. Cass is also situated between the two largest cities in Nebraska. Omaha is 18 miles to the North, and Lincoln is 15 miles to the West.  Cass County is 566 square miles, with a population of 25,241 and 13 towns and Villages. The County seat is in Plattsmouth, where the Law Enforcement Center and Courthouse are located.
