The Court Services Division of the Cass County Sheriff's Office is dedicated to ensuring the safety, security, and smooth operation of the Cass County Courthouse and surrounding county offices. This highly trained team of deputies safeguards both physical and electronic security across all facilities, including the courthouse grounds, parking areas, and public spaces-protecting everyone who visits, works, or conducts business on county property.
Courtroom Security & Conduct
Court Services deputies are a constant presence in the County and District courtrooms. They monitor proceedings, enforce courtroom rules and etiquette, and ensure that every hearing, trial, and legal process can be conducted in a secure and orderly environment.
Key Responsibilities
Inmate Transport
Deputies safely and securely transport inmates between the Cass County Jail, the courthouse, medical facilities, and other detention centers as required.
Inmate Work Release Program
Court Services oversees and manages the Inmate Work Release Program, allowing eligible inmates to work in the community while ensuring strict compliance with program requirements.
Nebraska Sex Offender Registry
Court Services deputies manage the Nebraska Sex Offender Registry for Cass County, in compliance with state statutes (§29-4001 - §29-4014). This includes:

Maintaining accurate, up-to-date records on registered offenders' residences, vehicles, employment, and contact information
