Hwy 75 pursuit concludes with crash and arrest near Waverly Road.

Cass County Sheriff, William C. Brueggemann advised that on Wednesday September 23, 2020 at 8:03 p.m. the Cass County 911 Center received several reports of a willful reckless driver east bound on Highway 34 from Highway 50. Deputies were responding from Plattsmouth area when dispatch advised the vehicle was now northbound on Highway 75 from Highway 34.

Deputies observed the vehicle traveling northbound on Hwy 75 deputies developed probable cause and attempted to stop the vehicle. The vehicle then accelerated and fled driving into oncoming traffic several times before attempting to turn westbound on Waverly road where the vehicle collided with a power pole line. The driver ran from the vehicle and Deputies chased the suspect before the suspect was tazed as he attempted to continue to flee. The male driver was later identified as Jacob Mossey 33 year old male from Plattsmouth. Mossey was charged with Felony flight to avoid, felon in possession of a weapon, resisting arrest and obstructing. Mossey was booked into Cass County jail with additional charges pending.
