Cass County Sheriff Wm. C Brueggemann advises that on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 5:48 p.m. Cass County Sheriff's Deputies along with Weeping Water, Avoca and Cass County EMS responded to a single vehicle rollover accident at Hwy 34 East of 156th st. Upon arrival, Deputies discovered a Gray 2008 BMW on its side in a ditch. Deputies spoke to the driver, age 18 of Valparaiso NE. Driver stated he was traveling West on Hwy 34 when he started to go off the road to the right. Driver tried to steer back onto the highway, driver overcorrected and rolled the vehicle into the ditch on the North side of Hwy 34. A passenger in the vehicle, age age 17 of Raymond NE, was transported to Bryan West medical center in Lincoln to be checked for injuries.  Alcohol is not believed to be a factor. Airbags were deployed and seatbelts were in use.
