Suspicious Activity resulting in felony arrest near 334th St and Hwy 34.

Cass County Sheriff, Robert Sorenson advised May 4, 2024 at 1007 hours, Plattsmouth Communications dispatched deputies regarding a check suspicious at 816 S. 334th St Elmwood, NE involving a male party (later identified as Ronald Gallagher  33 YOA of Omaha) asking for gas. The male party left the residence and was found by deputies at the intersection of 334th Street and Hwy 34. Gallagher was listed as being suspended and had an active felony warrant out of Iowa.  Deputies attempted to have Gallagher step out of his vehicle in order to place him into custody for his warrant. Gallagher fled from the scene in the vehicle he occupied. Deputies pursue Gallagher the pursuit concluded until Gallagher running off of the roadway at 24th street and Hwy 34.  Gallagher was offered medical services, and was then transported to Cass County's Law enforcement Center where he was booked for multiple charges (Possession of a Controlled substance, Operating a Motor Vehicle to Avoid Arrest, and Driving Under Suspension) and where he waits to face extradition for his Iowa warrant.
