Cass County Sheriff, Robert Sorenson advised that on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 6:19 p.m., Cass County Sheriff's deputies along with Murray Fire and Rescue and Cass County Medics responded to a two-vehicle injury accident at the intersection of Highway 75 and Murray Road in Murray, NE.

A white, FedEx box truck driven by Travis J. LAURENT 33 YOA of Lincoln, NE was eastbound on Highway 1 when he failed to stop at the stop sign and did not yield to the right of way traffic at the intersection of Highway 75, causing a collision with a southbound, white BMW SUV driven by Ali LIN  29 YOA  of Omaha. The vehicles collided and came to rest in the ditch in the southeast corner of the intersection. The driver of the white BMW was transported to the hospital by Murray Rescue for her injuries. The driver of the white FedEx truck was checked out by medical personnel and released.

Both vehicle were towed due to disabling damages. . LAURENT was cited for the stop sign violation and for not wearing his seatbelt. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor.

Accident investigation is complete.
