Cass County Sheriff, Robert Sorenson advised that on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at 06:33 a.m. Cass County Deputies, along with Murray Fire & Rescue responded to a one vehicle rollover accident on Murray Road just east of Hwy. 75. A red 2014 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Eric Johnson (39 of Plattsmouth). Johnson was heading westbound on Murray road when a deer ran out in front of his vehicle from the south side of the road. Johnson stated he could not stop in time and hit the deer. After Johnson hit the deer and tried to stop he moved over to the shoulder of the road which had a steep upward embankment. Johnson went up the embankment and his vehicle rolled onto its driver side. All Air bags were deployed. Johnson signed off with Murray Rescue and was not transported to the Hospital.
