Cass County Sheriff, Robert Sorenson advises on Friday, July 28, 2023 at approximately 8:50 a.m. deputies along with Eagle Fire and Rescue responded to a one vehicle injury accident at Highway 63 and Holdrege. Deputies advised a white Buick Lucerne driven by Roberto Reyes Vega (44 of Lincoln) was northbound on Highway 63 when he reached for something on the floorboard. Vega lost control of the vehicle and overcorrected causing his vehicle to enter the west ditch sideways. The vehicle struck the culvert and became airborne over Holdrege. The vehicle landed in a yard on the north side of Holdrege and continued to slide 30 yards before sticking several trees. Vega was able to exit the vehicle and was transported to the Hospital for minor injuries. Airbags were deployed and seatbelts were in use. Investigation complete.
