The Cass County Sheriff, Robert Sorenson advised that on Friday, June 16, 2023 at 12:11.pm Cass County Deputies, along with Plattsmouth Fire and Rescue, and Cass County EMA responded to a one vehicle rollover injury accident south of Mynard Road on 42nd Street.

Logan Ruth (28, of Glenwood Iowa) was traveling southbound on 42nd Street in a white 2012 Ford 350 and pulling an 18ft trailer loaded with a Compressor owned by McGill Equipment Company.  

Ruth advised there was a northbound vehicle that drove over the Center Line. To avoid a collision Ruth overcorrected to the right and the trailer tire dropped off the edge of the road. Ruth attempted to regain control and crossed the centerline and the trailer went off the road again and causing both the truck and trailer to roll 4 times. Ruth was able to self-extricate and was transported to Nebraska Medical in Omaha by Plattsmouth Rescue for minor injuries. Ruth was wearing his seatbelt and airbags did deploy. Speed, alcohol, and drugs were not a factor.
