Cass County Sheriff Robert Sorenson advised that on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at 0700 hrs. Cass County Deputies, along with Ashland PD and Ashland Fire & Rescue responded to a motorcycle versus deer accident on 238^th St. just north of Davey Road. Michael Kellogg (64, of Ashland) was southbound on 238^th St. riding on a 2002 Honda Motorcycle when a deer ran in front of Michael. Michael crashed from hitting the deer. Michael was transported to Bergan Mercy where he was pronounced deceased upon arrival at the hospital at 0808. Family was notified by Lincoln PD.  Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
