Cass County Sheriff Robert Sorenson advises at 08:45 a.m. on May 30, 2023 deputies from the Cass County Sheriff's Office, Elmwood Rescue, Murdock Fire, Cass County Emergency Management Medics and Nebraska State Patrol responded to a 2 vehicle personal injury crash at 310th and Highway 1. Preliminary investigation revealed Nathan Andersson, 25 of Lincoln was traveling northbound in a cement truck when his vehicle struck the back of a grain truck driven by Kent Searcey, 61 of Murdock. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts, Searcey was transported by Elmwood Rescue to CHI Saint Elizabeth for evaluation of his injuries. Andersson was transported by Elmwood Rescue to Bryan West for further evaluation of his injuries. Andersson was cited for following too closely. The investigation is complete
