Cass County Sheriff Wm. C Brueggemann advises that on Tuesday May 19th 2020 at 4:19 p.m. Cass County Sheriff's Deputies along with Louisville Fire and Rescue responded to a single vehicle accident at 34170 Hwy 66. On arrival deputies spoke to the driver of the vehicle, identified as Joseph Sampson aged 19 of Ashland. Joseph said he was taking his friend home from Round the Bend where they both work. Joseph said when he came around on the curve he became distracted and took his eyes off the road. When he looked back up at the road, he was driving in the other lane. Joseph tried to correct the vehicle and ended up over correcting, making the vehicle flip twice and end up on its side on the north side of the road. No injuries were reported. The vehicle was towed from the scene by M&M Towing out of Ashland. Alcohol is not suspected. Both parties were wearing their seatbelts. No citations issued at this time.
