Cass County Sheriff Robert Sorenson advised that at 5:44 p.m. Sunday March 19, 2023 Deputies responded with Fire and Rescue units to the intersection of West G St and 2nd St in Elmwood on a report of a motorcycle accident with injuries.

Upon arriving on scene it was discovered that Kent Hendricks 43 YOA of Elmwood had wrecked his motorcycle while giving a ride to an 8 year old juvenile. Neither party was wearing a helmet.

Hendricks suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries and the child suffered minor injuries from the fall from the motorcycle. Both were transported to Bryan West Trauma Center in Lincoln by Elmwood Rescue.

The investigation is ongoing.
