On February 26th, Sheriff Sorenson advised a 1 vehicle car/deer accident on Hwy 50 near the intersection of Hwy 66. Louisville Rescue and Cass County Deputies arrived on scene and made contact with Dale Johns, 66 YOA of Syracuse NE., driving a Grey Ram 1500. Johns was Southbound on HWY50 when a deer ran across the road, and into the side of Johns vehicle causing the side airbags to deploy. Johns was checked out by medical personnel and had no injuries. Seatbelt was in use, no citation was issued, and vehicle was driven away.
