Cass County Sheriff Wm. C. Brueggemann advised that on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at approximately 7:56 p.m.,  Cass County Deputies along with Nehawka Fire and Rescue and Cass County medics responded to a two Vehicle crash at the intersection of US 75/34 and US 34. The investigation found that a 2003 Ford F-150 driven by Alois Slepicka of rural Malvern, Iowa was traveling west on US34 and stopped at the stop sign at the intersection. Slepicka then entered the intersection attempting to turn north bound in front of a South bound 2000 GMC Sierra driven by Norman Farmwald of rural Humboldt, Nebraska. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage, alcohol was not a factor.  Slepicka was transported to Univeristy Of Nebraska Medical Center for possible Minor injuries.
