Cass County Sheriff Wm. C. Brueggemann advised that on Friday, September 9, 2022 at 4:03 p.m.  Cass County Deputies along with Elmwood Fire and Rescue responded to a two vehicle accident in the area 274th St. and Adams St. A blue 2014 Jeep Patriot driven by Lily Pope 16 YOA of Eagle rear ended a Penske truck driven Chi Nguyen 23 YOA of Lincoln. Chi was heading westbound and was in the habit of slowing down at upcoming cross streets. Lily stated she was also heading westbound and could not see through a dust cloud and rear ended the Penske truck at the intersection. Air bags deployed on the Jeep Patriot and both parties signed off after being checked out by the EMS. Seatbelts were believed to be worn. The Jeep was towed.
