Injury accident on Highway 50 In Louisville

Cass County Sheriff Wm. C. Brueggemann advises on Tuesday August 23rd 2022 at 1159 AM Cass County Sheriff's Deputies, Louisville Rescue, Cass County Emergency Management, Springfield Rescue, and Lifenet were dispatched to Highway 50 and Main Street, Louisville for a 2 vehicle personal injury accident.

The on scene investigation determined a 2020 Subaru Forester driven by Marcia Weeks, 84 of La Vista was southbound on Highway 50. Weeks attempted to turn left onto Main Street when her vehicle collided with a white 2012 Nissan Altima traveling northbound on Highway 50 driven by Kynaston Reed, 88 of Louisville. Reed was transported by Lifenet to UNMC for treatment of his injuries. Weeks was transported by Weeping Water Rescue to CHI Bergan Mercy for treatment of her injures Reed's passenger Barbara Hayes, 74 of Louisville was transported by Springfield Rescue to CHI Bergan mercy for treatment of her injuries.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor. Seatbelts were not in use in the Altima.
