Cass County Sheriff, Wm. C. Brueggemann advised that Wednesday afternoon, July 27, 2022 at 5:09 pm, Cass County Sheriff Deputies & Plattsmouth Fire and Rescue responded to a three vehicle accident at Hwy 75 & Osage Ranch. 

A silver GMC Canyon driven by Brandon Wingert (41 yoa) of Plattsmouth was stopped on Highway 75 waiting for other vehicles to turn onto Osage Ranch when he was struck from behind by a blue Nissan Sentra driven by Xander Packett (17 yoa) of Nebraska City.  The impact caused the rear end of the Nissan to drift into the oncoming lane and hit the side of a gray Nissan Rogue driven by Kip Peterson (55 yoa) of Omaha.  No injuries occurred.  Seat belts were in use by 3 of the 4 persons involved.  Speed and alcohol were not a factor.

Accident is still under investigation.
