Three vehicle injury accident Hwy 75 and Rockbluff Rd. Murray

Cass County Sheriff, Wm. C. Brueggemann advised that on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 10:35 a.m., Cass County Sheriff's Deputies along with Murray Fire and Rescue responded to a three vehicle injury accident at the intersection of Highway 75 and Rockbluff Road near Murray, NE.

A silver Toyota Camry driven by Kevin G. Coyne (64 yoa) of Omaha was traveling south on highway 75 and failed to yield to a black Mercedes that was traveling north on Highway 75 driven by Ingrid G. Rodriguez (34 yoa) of Plattsmouth. The Toyota turned left in front of the Mercedes causing the Mercedes to swerve to avoid hitting the Toyota. The Mercedes clipped the front bumper of the Toyota and then hit a red Mercury Milan driven by Hope M. Marino (21 yoa) of Plattsmouth that was sitting at the stop sign at Rockbluff Road. The Mercedes and the Mercury sustained heavy damage in the accident; the Toyota had only minor damage.

The passenger of the Mercedes was transported to UNMC Omaha for her injuries by Murray Rescue. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the accident. The Mercedes and the Mercury were both towed at owner's request. The driver of the Toyota was cited for Failure to yield.

Accident investigation is complete.
