Cass County Sheriff Wm. C. Brueggemann advised that on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at approximately 15:08 hrs. Cass County Deputies along with Greenwood Fire and Rescue responded to a two vehicle accident in the area of 12413 Highway 63.

A black 1987 Peterbilt, Ne WIB578 with trailer driven by Andrew A. Lewis (DOB 7/21/92) out of Roca Ne. Lewis was heading northbound on Highway 63 and was run off the road onto  the shoulder by a blue 2000 Freightliner NE WTR401 with trailer heading southbound and driven by Larry D. Helm (DOB 8/31/71) out of Omaha.

Helm could not remember what happened other then saying Lewis came into his lane. Tracks and skid marks show Helm drove left of center ran into the rear end of the trailer Lewis was pulling and then ran into the ditch on the northbound shoulder. Helm was transported to the hospital. Charges pending.
