Two vehicle injury accident and Kerford mine

Cass County Sheriff, Wm. C. Brueggemann advised that on Friday, March 11th, 2022 at 1:03 p.m., Cass County Sheriff's deputies along with Weeping Fire and Rescue and Cass County Medics responded to a two-vehicle injury accident at Kerford Limestone Company in a underground mine.

Plattsmouth Communications advised that one patient was unconscious. Deputies and Rescue squads arrived on scene. Deputies were advise they could not go in the mine. The first driver Mark C. Stubbendeck (05/18/1956) of Syracuse was transported to UNMC in Omaha by LifeNet for his injuries. The second driver of the was checked out by medical personnel and released.
