Flight to Avoid Arrest and Drug Charges suspects taken into custody

Sheriff William C. Brueggemann advised that on Wednesday 01-26-2022 at 5:35 pm Cass County Deputy located a vehicle with fictitious plates traveling westbound on Main street near 10th in Plattsmouth.

 

Deputy attempted a traffic stop when the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed, vehicle turned northbound on Highway 75 near 1st Ave, continued northbound on Highway 75 into Sarpy County. Nebraska State Patrol was called and attempted to spike the tires near the new Highway 34 and Highway 75 northbound but was unsuccessful.

 

The vehicle ran out of gas on Highway 75 and Fairview Road. NSP and Cass County Sheriff Office Deputies took the female driver and male passenger into custody.

The female was identified as Gail Tierney 47 year old female from Council bluffs Iowa. The passenger was identified as Desi Leroy Chamberlain 40 year old male from Omaha area.

 

Gail Tierney had two prior counts of flight to avoid arrest and was revoked driving in Nebraska, vehicle was unregistered and had fake plates on it when stopped. Tierney was booked on felony flight charges among other traffic offenses.

 

Desi Leroy Chamberlain, passenger, had an active Cass County warrant and was found to be in possession of Meth, baggies, scale and other drug paraphernalia and was booked on several felony drug charges.
