Cass County Sheriff Wm. C. Brueggemann advised that on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 5:47 p.m., Cass County Sheriff Office Deputies, Plattsmouth Fire & EMS and Plattsmouth Police responded to a two-vehicle injury accident at the intersection of Hwy. 75 and Fulton Ave.  A 16 old juvenile of  Plattsmouth  was westbound on Fulton Ave. in a 2006 Mitsubishi Raider when she entered the intersection and into the path of a northbound 2007 Toyota Corolla being driven by 18 year old juvenile of Plattsmouth.  Debris from the crash forced the closure of Highway 75, however, one northbound lane was opened after approximately 30 minutes.  All occupants were checked at the scene by EMS, both refused transport.  The 16 year old driver was issued a citation to court for Failure to Yield right of way, and a learner's Permit Violation.  Airbags were deployed.  Seat belts were in use.  Speed and alcohol are not factors in the crash.  Investigation is complete.  Highway 75 was completely opened for travel in both directions approximately one hour after the crash.
