Sheriff William Brueggemann advised on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at 4:09 p.m., Cass County Sheriff Office Deputies, Units from Elmwood Fire and Rescue, Cass County EMA, Murdock Fire Department responded to 286th and Havelock Avenue, rural Elmwood, Ne. for a overturned vehicle in the ditch and waterway.  When Deputies arrived on scene, they located  a 2004 silver Chevy Cavalier overturned in the water with driver ejected. Nebraska State Patrol was requested to investigate and reconstruct the accident scene. The identity of the driver was Kyle Wainwright age 35 of Lincoln Nebraska. The accident is under further investigation.
