Sheriff William C. Brueggemann advised that on the evening of Saturday 11-28-21 deputies observed a vehicle traveling at high speeds on 54th St. near Nehawka. Deputies then observed the vehicle turn eastbound onto Thomas Dr. and attempted to catch up to the vehicle. When deputies arrived at the intersection of Thomas Dr. and 42nd St. they found that the vehicle had skidded through the stop sign and rolled into a field east of 42nd St. Nehawka Fire, Murray Rescue, and Cass County EMA were called to check on the two juvenile passengers. No serious injuries were reported. One juvenile was cited for reckless driving and failure to use a turn signal.
