Cass County Sheriff Wm. C. Brueggemann advises that on Sunday November 7th 2021 at 9:31AM Cass County Sheriff's Deputies, Plattsmouth Police Department, Plattsmouth Fire and Rescue, and Lifenet responded to a single vehicle accident at Highway 75 and Wiles Road.

Preliminary investigation indicates that a white 2013 GMC Terrain was traveling southbound on Highway 75 between Osage Ranch Boulevard and Wiles Road. The vehicle left the roadway to the east, struck a cable barrier, jumped a ravine and rolled onto its side. The original time of accident is unknown at this time. The occupant was extracted and transported to UNMC by Lifenet. Seatbelts were not in use, it is unknown if alcohol is a factor. The investigation is ongoing. The occupant's identity is being withheld until next of kin can be notified.
