Cass County Sheriff, Wm. C. Brueggemann advised that on Sunday, October 31 at approximately 4:15 p.m., Cass County Sheriff Deputies along with Louisville Fire/Rescue responded to an accident involving a single vehicle and a deer north of Church Road on Hwy 50.

A tan Ford Explorer driven by Allan Feek (29 YOA) of Union was traveling south on Highway 50 when he struck a large deer that had leapt from the west side tree line causing both airbags to deploy.  There were no apparent injuries though the passenger, Madeline Feek (31 YOA) of Union was transported by private vehicle to Bellevue Medical Center to be checked over.  Seat belts were in use and speed and alcohol were not a factor.
