Cass County Sheriff, Wm. C. Brueggemann advised that on Friday, October 15, 2021 at approximately 1:50 p.m., Cass County Sheriff Deputies along with Weeping Water, Manley, Avoca Fire/Rescue and Cass County Medics responded to a car and Semi Tractor-trailer injury accident at Hwy 50 and Weeping Water Spur.

A gray 2017 Honda Civic driven by Josh Wickstrom DOB 10/23/2001 (19 YOA) of Omaha was traveling north on Hwy 50 when he struck the back of a semi tractor-trailer driven by Justin Brannon of Dayton Ohio.  The driver of the Honda Civic sustained serious injuries and was transported by medical helicopter to Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
