Cass County Sheriff Wm. C. Brueggemann advised that on Thursday October 14th 2021 at approximately 21:53 Hours Cass County Deputies along with Nehawka Fire responded to an accident on Nehawka Road East of Nehawka with a vehicle fully engulfed.

Driver of the vehicle Aaron M. Chappell was the lone occupant and stated he lost control of his vehicle and a fire started in the Engine compartment. Nehawka Fire, Murray Rescue, and Cass County Emergency Management responded. Chappell was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated above .15 3rd offences.
