Cass County Sheriff Wm C Brueggemann advises that on Friday October 8th 2021 at approximately 6:21AM Cass County Sheriff's Deputies, Greenwood Fire and Rescue, Cass County Emergency Management medics and Murdock Fire were dispatched to a single ATV accident on the infield of I-80 Speedway. The driver, Melvin Densberger, 59 of Malcolm, NE was pinned under an ATV that he was driving, and was found by I-80 Speedway staff. Densberger stated that he was driving back to his trailer from another when he lost control of the ATV and it ended up on its side. Due to possible pinning injuries, Lifenet was launched and ultimately cancelled by Rescue units on scene. Densberger was transported by Greenwood Fire and Rescue to Bryan West for further evaluation. The investigation is complete.
