Cass County Sheriff Wm. C. Brueggemann advised that on Tuesday September 14, 2021 around 6:30 PM Cass County Sheriff's Deputies along with Plattsmouth Fire and rescue were dispatched to the report of one vehicle rollover near Bay Rd and Davy Jones Dr in Buccaneer Bay.

Deputies arrived and made contact with the sole occupant William Poppleton of Cedar Creek. Poppleton was treated for minor injuries by Plattsmouth EMS. Further investigation indicated that Poppleton had been driving too fast for conditions and was impaired. Poppleton was subsequently arrested for DUI.
