Cass County Sheriff, Wm. C. Brueggemann advised that on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 5:25 p.m., Cass County Sheriff Deputies along with Plattsmouth Fire/Rescue responded to a two vehicle injury accident at 4291 Ashland Road.

A black Ford Edge driven by Kathryn Helsley (52 yoa) of Plattsmouth was traveling west bound on Ashland Road when she struck a Side-Dump Tractor-trailer semi driven by James Belfiore (49 yoa) of Omaha as it was slowing to turn.  The driver of the Ford Edge was taken to Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha for non-life threatening injuries.  Seat belts were in use and speed and alcohol were not a factor the investigation is ongoing.
