Cass County Sheriff, William C. Brueggemann advised on 08-26-21 at 07:15 a.m. Cass County Deputies, along with Plattsmouth Fire & Rescue and Plattsmouth PD responded to Hwy 75 just north of Bay Rd. for a property damage accident. A silver, 2011 Jeep Compass, driven by Conni Charles, 54 of Plattsmouth was northbound on Hwy 75. Charles stated that a vehicle was merging onto Hwy 75 from the Bay Rd. on-ramp when another vehicle began to enter the lane she was driving. Charles swerved to miss the vehicle and side-swiped the concrete guard rail on the railroad overpass.

The other vehicle was not located. Seatbelts were in use at time of the accident. Charles was not injured and refused medical treatment.
