Two vehicle injury accident Hwy 6 and Main St. Greenwood.

Cass County Sheriff, Wm. C. Brueggemann advised that on Friday August 20, 2021 at 2:20 p.m., Cass County Deputies along with Greenwood fire/rescue, Ashland Rescue and Cass County Medics responded to a two vehicle injury accident at the intersection of Highway 6 and Main Street, Greenwood, NE.

A blue and white GMC pickup driven by Benjamin J. Bohuslavsky (68 yoa) of Cedar Creek had slowed to stop to turn left onto Main Street Greenwood when he was struck from behind by a white Dodge Journey driven by Jacob C. Hietala (23yoa) of Ashland. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage. Both drivers' were released by medical at the scene, but the passenger of the blue and white pickup identified as Robert Wall (74yoa) was transported by Ashland rescue to Bergen Mercy Hospital in Omaha for non-life threatening injuries. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the accident and Hietala the driver of the Dodge Journey was cited.
