On July 3rd, 2021 at approximately 11:26pm,Cass County Sheriff Wm. C.  Brueggemann announced that Cass County Sheriff's deputies along with Nehawka Fire/Rescue and Cass County medics were dispatched to 3016 Waconda Road for a single occupant UTV accident with injuries.

 Investigation showed 37 year old Clifton Jackson of Union was operating his 2018 Polaris UTV at 3016 Waconda Road, when he lost control of the UTV causing it to turn on its side and land onto the roadway of Waconda Road.  Jackson was extricated from the vehicle by Nehawka Fire/Rescue and transported to UNMC for a head injury.  Jackson's injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
