Deputies respond to a disturbance involving a man brandishing a gun

Sheriff William C. Brueggemann advised that on Thursday 5-6-21 at 2201 hours Cass County Deputies were dispatched to a disturbance at 225 1st St. in Eagle, NE involving a man brandishing a gun. Cass County Deputies, assisted by Nebraska State Patrol, made contact with four individuals at that address. The individuals on scene stated that they had been harassed earlier by another group of individuals who were no longer on scene. One of the individuals, CHILDERS, JEFFRY (3-9-90) was found to have an airsoft pistol on his person.

            Deputies were able to make contact with the individuals who had initially called in the disturbance. After a short investigation it was determined that another individual who had been with the group at 225 1st St. had been the one to brandish a pistol with a silver slide and threaten the caller and his friends. Deputies located HARIG, JASON (3-27-74) at CHILDERS' residence nearby where they also located another airsoft pistol matching the description given by the victims. Victims were able to positively identify HARIG as the individual who had threatened them.

            HARIG, who was found to have an active warrant out of Lancaster County, was arrested for Terroristic Threats and the Lancaster Warrant. He was transported to Cass County Jail.

            Another involved individual, CHILEN, JOSHUA (12-2-99), was also arrested on an unrelated warrant and also transported to Cass County Jail.
