Two vehicle injury accident intersection Hwy 50 and 34.

Cass County Sheriff, Wm. C. Brueggemann advised that on Monday, March 29, 2021 at 5:43 p.m., Cass County Sheriff's Deputies along with Weeping Water, Manley, Avoca, Elmwood Fire and Rescue along with Cass County medics responded to a two vehicle injury accident at the intersection of Highway 50 and Highway 34 near Weeping Water, NE.

A gray 2017 Chevy Equinox driven by John States (66yoa) of Stella NE, was traveling South on highway 50 and stopped at the stop sign at intersection of highway 50 and Highway 34. The States vehicle entered the intersection, failed to yield to the West bound driver of a 2017 Chevy Silverado pickup driven by Kaylyn Jackman (56yoa) of Elmwood NE.

Both drivers and the passenger of the Chevy Equinox were transported to Syracuse Hospital for minor injuries. All occupants of both vehicles were wearing their seatbelts. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the accident.

Accident investigation is complete.
