Cass County Sheriff, Wm. C. Brueggemann advised that on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 6:34 p.m., Cass County Sheriff's Deputies along with Plattsmouth Fire and Rescue responded to a two vehicle injury accident at the intersection of highway 75 and highway 66 near Plattsmouth, NE.

A red 2013 Lincoln MKX SUV driven by Jackie S. Webster (72 yoa) of Weeping Water, was traveling north on highway 75 when she failed to stop at the red light at the intersection of highway 75 and highway 66. The red SUV struck a west bound 2017 Chevy Spark driven by Clay W. Dickinson (51 yoa) of Louisville who had just entered the intersection.  When the SUV hit the Chevy spark, it caused the Chevy Spark to hit the electrical power box for the traffic lights, which knocked out power to all of the traffic signals. The traffic signals were still out the following morning during rush hour traffic. The driver of the Chevy spark was transported to UNMC Omaha for his injuries. Webster was given a citation for a traffic signal violation.
