One injury, driver of vehicle collides into rear of gravel truck on Highway 50

Sheriff William C. Brueggemann advised on February 24, 2021 at 3:15 p.m, Cass County Sheriff Office Deputies, with Weeping Water, Manley and Avoca Fire & Rescue and Cass County EMA responded to Hwy 50 in front of Westover Sand & Gravel in reference to a two-vehicle injury accident. A Westover Sand & Gravel truck, driven by Christopher Stickler, 44 of Louisville was Northbound on Hwy 50 and slowing to a stop to turn off of Hwy 50 into the Westover terminal when the truck was rear ended by a silver, Chrysler 200, driven by Beverly Krier, 66 of Weeping Water.
 
Life Net was dispached and transported Krier to UNMC for her injuries. Stickler was not injured. Seatbelts were in use by both drivers at the time of the accident. Hwy 50 was shut down and then reduced to one lane for a short time during the accident investigation.
