Cass County Sheriff Wm. C. Brueggemann advised on Thursday, February 5, 2021 at 6:22 p.m. Cass County Deputies, along with Plattsmouth Police, and Plattsmouth Fire & EMS responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Hwy. 34 / 75 and Hwy. 66. 

Antonia L. Montana (58, of Omaha) was northbound on Hwy. 34 / 75 in a 2013 Toyota Highlander when she struck the rear of a 2019 Ram pickup, driven by Francisco Eduardo Avalos Banderas (31, of Rochelle, IL).  Both parties refused treatment at the scene. 

Montana was arrested for DUI (2nd Offense) and Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.  Airbags were deployed in the Highlander.  Seatbelts were in use.  Investigation is complete.
