Cass County Sheriff Wm. C. Brueggemann advised on Tuesday morning on February 2, 2021 at approximately 7:14 a.m., Cass County Communications 911 Center received a call from an acquaintance of 82 year old male, identified as Gail A. Lanning, who resided at 707 South 5th Street, Eagle, Ne. who was deceased. The acquaintance and her husband have been helping Lanning clean and renovate the house.

An autopsy was conducted on Wednesday February 3, 2021 and indicated blunt force trauma. Investigation is continuing.
