Cass County Sheriff Wm. C. Brueggemann advised that on Friday, October 23, 2020 at 2050 hrs. Cass County Deputies along with Eagle Fire and Rescue, and Cass County Medics received a report of a bus that struck a barrier at Eagle Raceway located at 617 238th St, Eagle, NE 68347.

Upon arrival a deputy located a school bus taking part of Eagle Hollow Haunts, in the middle of the raceway with front left damage. Contact was made the driver of the bus, Mikel E. Jones, (57, of Lincoln). Jones was driving the bus as part of the attraction and took the turn too close to a wall making contact. Once it hit the wall, Jones stated that he fell out of his seat then made an attempt to stop the bus. Jones was complaining of chest pain. One of the passengers on the bus was also injured, juvenile  (17, of Omaha) was complaining of back pain. Eagle Fire and Rescue transported both to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lincoln, NE.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor. Investigation is complete.
