Cass County Sheriff Wm. C. Brueggemann advises on Sunday July 3rd 2022 Cass County Deputies and Ashland Fire and Rescue responded to a single vehicle accident on Interstate 80 near mile marker 426. Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2005 Ford 500 driven by Emma Budzinski, 21 of Ralston was traveling eastbound on Interstate 80 in the inside lane. Budzinski attempted to merge into the middle lane, observed a vehicle in the lane, overcorrected back into her lane, began to lose control, left the roadway and rolled over.  Budzinski was transported to CHI Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha by Ashland Rescue for further evaluation. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor. Seatbelts were in use. The investigation is complete.
